Gainesville Fashion Week 2011 comes to a close

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, including one of the best fashion events in the south. Ranked as a top fashion week by Southern Living Magazine, Gainesville Fashion Week turned heads again in its fourth season with two nights of runway shows. Thursday and Saturdays shows included evening wear, casual wear and even swim wear. Saturdays attendance blew Thursdays out of the water, but that was to be expected as veteran designer Bobby K was to debut his newest line. As we were the first to report via Twitter, Bobby K will be designing the new line for Three-Thirty Couture we hinted at called 330 by Bobby K. Nicole Snodgrass, of Three-Thirty Couture, wore one of Bobbys new collaborative designs to tonights show. The exciting announcement sandwiched between their two shows brought uproarious approval from the audience. Among the trends we witnessed during the week were sleek, fitted dresses for women with modern cuts and feminine details such as lace and ruffling. For men, the palette remains neutral but encourages playful pops of color to liven up the wardrobe.
