What I Wore: Plain and Fancy

WhatIWore:
When:January 28, 2011
What:Necklaces: Jess LC (braille), Elma Blint (anchor)Button up: Lucky Brand (men’s)Skirt: vintage, Beacon’s ClosetBelt: vintage, Beacon’s ClosetTights: ??Boots: Modern Vintage via GILT
Where:Studio, dinner
Why:With no major agenda today, I just wanted to wear something fun. Last weekend I saw a leopard skirt with a button up and belt in a magazine (not sure which one!) and was inspired to replicate the look with my own take.
I love that there are so many places for us to get ideas on our clothing. I remember when I was a lot younger – I’d read magazines and have no idea where I could buy anything remotely similar (uber fashion forward stuff) in Fort Wayne Indiana. Fifteen years later, there’s personal style blogs with everyday looks and (some) magazines that (sort of) cater to that same sense of realistic, everyday dressing. I find myself equally inspired by both.
Where do you get ideas on how to get dressed?
