Milly by Michelle Smith Opens Flagship on Madison Avenue

Young-luxurybrand Milly has opened the label’s long-awaited first stateside boutique at 900 Madison Avenue at 73rd Street. The store features womens ready-to-wear, handbags and jewelry, as well as the new Milly Minis childrenswear collection.

Featuring exclusive, limited-edition styles available for purchase, the boutique provides an extra special touch of Milly for New York customers and offers brides-to-be a bridal salon, featuring a capsule collection of wedding gowns and cocktail dresses with personalized client services (individual appointments, fittings and on-site alterations).

The interior is thoroughly modern Milly! With a nod to Michelle’s design training in Paris and New York, the boutique features hints of French neoclassical architecture complemented by iconic American and mid-century French décor. Smith’s design signature is evident throughout the space; the chic color palette features matte dove-grey walls and hand-painted, shiny lacquer- in black, charcoal and plum. Lucite and polished brass fixtures complement vintage 1970’s Milo Baughman chairs, ironically clad in Milly’s signature watermelon pink.
